Dateline Dehradun: The Alumni Meet-2024 was organized at Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Jollygrant. Alumni from the colleges of Management, Engineering, Bioscience, and Yoga Science participated. During the event, the alumni shared their experiences related to college and career with the new students.
The event was inaugurated by the lighting of the lamp in front of the portrait of the founder Dr. Swami Rama. The Himalayan School of Science and Technology (HSST), Himalayan School of Management Studies (HSMS), Himalayan School of Biosciences (HSBS), and Himalayan School of Yoga Sciences (HSYS) alumni participated in the Alumni Meet-2024.
The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Rajendra Dobhal, addressed the attendees, highlighting that former students serve as guides for new students, making them aware of the challenges and opportunities in their careers. Dr. Dobhal noted that alumni are now serving in prestigious institutions across the country and are also involved in research.
The Registrar, Dr. Mukesh Bijlwan, mentioned that the Alumni Meet provides an opportunity for knowledge sharing and stressed the importance of staying connected with the university regardless of one’s current institution.
On this occasion, students engaged in cultural activities including solo songs and dances, which entertained all attendees. Dr. Atul Agarwal, President of the SRHU Alumni Association, announced that Hanisha from the College of Biosciences was chosen as Miss Sparkle, Anmol Tyagi from the School of Yoga Sciences was chosen as Mr. Alumni, and Srishti Thakuri as Miss Alumni. All the college principals including Dr. Pramod Kumar, Dr. Mohit Verma, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, and Dr. Ajay Dubey along with faculty members were present at the event.
