Dateline Rishikesh: The ninth annual Mahasamadhi ceremony of Brahmaleen Mahamandaleshwar Swami Ved Bharati Maharaj, chief disciple of the Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT) founder Dr. Swami Rama and founder of Dhyana Mandiram Trust, was observed with augustness and gravity. On this occasion, saints, disciples, and followers paid rich tributes to him.
The annual Mahasamadhi ceremony commenced on Sunday at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama Ashram in Veerbhadra, Rishikesh, with the offering of floral tributes to Brahmaleen Swami Ved Bharati Maharaj. From 9 a.m to 12 p.m, the program included Guru Puja, a tribute assembly, and a saints’ congregation.
Ashram chief Swami Ritavan Bharati Ji highlighted the glorious history of the trust and provided information on the studies, teachings, and research work on meditation, yoga, and philosophy conducted at Sadhaka Grama.
Dr. Vijay Dhasmana, President of Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) Jollygrant, reminiscenced about Brahmaleen Swami Ved Bharati and described him as a principal proponent of yoga. Dr. Prakash Keshaviah described him as a high-caliber practitioner and reiterated that his meditation and yoga classes are being conducted in 56 countries.
In the afternoon, hundreds of devotees and followers, along with the saints, partook in the Prasad during the feast.
The ceremony was attended by Swami Prayag Giri, Sadhana Mishra, the Secretary of Dhyana Mandiram Trust, along with members of the saint community, all trustees of Dhyana Mandiram Trust, and disciples and followers of Swamiji from India and abroad.
