Dateline Dehradun: Pen-India School in Bhaniyawala celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with a vibrant event. The festivities included a fancy dress competition where young students dressed as Radha, Krishna, Balaram, and Sudama. During the celebration, the children decorated with motifs like Lord Ladoo-Gopal, flutes, and earthen pots, danced to devotional songs dedicated to Radha and Krishna. They also showcased their skills through art and craft activities.
Teachers and parents cheered the children on, and the event began with a ceremonial lighting of lamps. Dr. Prakash Keshaviah, a trustee of the PEN-India Foundation (PIF), highlighted the significance of cultural events in nurturing talent and connecting children with their heritage.
At the end of the program, PIF founder Anoop Rawat and co-founder Santosh Budakoti awarded certificates to the children. Honored students included Vedika, Trishika, Arnav Chauhan, Abhiraj Rana, Shivansh Chaudhary, and others. Volunteer teachers and parents were also present, contributing to the success of the celebration.
