Badri kedar temple watches

Most of us were unaware, but now we know for sure, that the shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath could now sit pretty on your wrist, telling you time on custom-made wristwatches created by the iconic Jaipur Watch Company.

Launched in early April this year, “these watches were created for the temple shrine committee,” Gaurav Mehta, the founder of the Jaipur Watch Company tells us, “Now the Jaipur Watch Company is in talks with the State Government so that we can design watches for the remaining two Dhams of Gangotri and Yamnotri in Uttarakhand as well,” he adds.

Tailor-made for members of the Kedarnath Temple Committee and the Badrinath Temple Committee, the dials of both the watches are made in white MOP Case: 43mm, Stainless Steel and are available in Gold Plate and Stainless Steel with a Genuine Leather Strap, with the outline of the temple printed in the centre.

While the Kedarnath watch composition resonates of the the picturesque and serene look of the Shiva temple , in the heart of winter, covered in snow. The Badrinath temple watch encapsulates the vividness and liveliness of the Vishnu Shrine through embossed effect and various textures.

Not the first, in its long list of first-of-its-kind watch designs, the Jaipur Watch Company has in the past launched limited edition watches of King George VI postal stamps in three paisa denominations.

Jaipur Watch Company, the ‘Made in India’ brand, is steeped in the age-old craftsmanship tradition of Jaipur and its history of regal lifestyle, keeping up with the fast changing technology through its workshop and factory in Bengaluru.

Today, Jaipur Watch Company a.k.a. JWC is known for its exquisite traditional craftsmanship to handcraft unusual watches. A glimpse of these watches and many others will now be available at India’s vibrant retail landscape Select City Walk, New Delhi.

Mehta adds, “The retail outpost is an important step for Jaipur Watch Company in our bid to become more accessible to our customers, particularly with our bespoke range of gold watches.

Manned by a trained fashion professional, customers will be able to reach out to JWC if they want to tweak an existing bespoke range or order a completely customised watch, the choice is yours.

And hopefully, if all works out well, then in the very near future, we could get our hands on watches dedicated to all the four shrines of Uttarakhand as well.
